The Director of Operations position is a
multi-faceted role requiring the ability to
balance strategy and execution. The Director is responsible for all
aspects of the operations of all of the
company including people management and development, process, and
exceeding the expectations and promises made
to our customers (both internal and external). You will lead a dynamic
team of managers to achieve operational
excellence through coaching and mentoring the team; driving employee
engagement, and building leadership bench
strength within the network.
Job Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Own and
deliver the operational plans for functional
areas, including operations, customer service, creative, supply
chain, warehouse operations, and operational
goals for inbound and outbound inventory
- Responsible for providing and
achieving
strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months out)
including planning, forecasting, and peak
season planning for Kaliber Brands on multi channels and
Kaliber’s business on
Amazon.
- Drive
continuous improvement projects to optimize
operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business
objectives
- Collaborate
with other team members to solicit and
share process improvements and drive efficiencies and cost
savings
- Establish
objectives and metrics for product quality,
employee productivity, and customer experience
- Set clear
goals and expectations for the business.
Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds team members
accountable.
- Leverages our
brands and product mix to improve
profitability and meet Kaliber targets.
- Manage all
account financials including margins and
targets
- Oversee a
digital forecasting process allowing for
stocks to remain at the optimal level
- Use data,
information systems, and metrics around
financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share,
sales, and profits.
- Develop and
execute an annual operating plan.
- Collaborates
with sales planning and marketing teams
to provide and explain market data to the CEO
Required Skills
- Willing to
wear many hats
- Bachelor’s degree in business
- 10+ years of
direct and hands-on experience in
ecommerce, sales and/or channel marketing,
- Deep knowledge
of Ecommerce product flow and web store
performance optimization
- Experience
developing and managing trade
budgets
- Ability to
operate independently given direction, and
bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
- Ability to
analyze and assess organizational needs and
provide solutions accordingly.
- Interpersonal
savvy; an ability to effectively work
with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple
functions and geographies.
- Ability to
motivate teams to produce desired tangible
outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Strong project
planning, tracking & organizing
skills.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills;
must be able to present data in an organized manner
- MUST HAVE:
Experience with Amazon Seller/Vendor
Central
- MUST HAVE:
Microsoft Excel
extraordinaire including pivot tables
- MUST HAVE:
Experience managing multiple warehouses and
offshore teams
- Experience
with the full staffing lifecycle, including
interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and
terminations
- Direct
management experience, including an offshore
team, in an ecommerce, retail, distribution, or logistics
environment
- Experience
with performance metrics, process
improvement, and Lean methodologies
- Candidates
must be flexible to work a variety of hours
as business demands especially in Q4
- Ability to
handle changing priorities and use good
judgment in stressful situation
- Track record
of effectively leading an operation
comprising staff of at least 50
- Demonstrated
ability to successfully develop others
into higher levels of leadership in an organization
